St Mary’s University
The St. Mary’s University is a private Catholic learning institution that is built on a 135 acres piece of land. The institution is recognized for its highly rated academic reputation with its masters level ranked among the best in the west. This Marianist liberal arts and Catholic institution is located in Downtown San Antonio in the Texas-United States.
The institution can accommodate an approximate of 4,000 students in all its faculties, Students interested in Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Business and Law, can apply for an opportunity to study in this famous institution. The university is the first Catholic university in Texas and also Southwest America.
St. Mary’s University was established by the Society of Mary (Marianists) in 1852. It opened its doors to students on 25th August 1852 where it only handled five faculties.
Founded by the Society of Mary (Marianists) in 1852, the institution started with only 12 boys enrolling. College students were transferred from downtown to St. Louis College campus in 1921 and in 1923 St. Louis College was renamed as St. Mary’s College.
The university first bachelor’s degree candidates graduated in 1927 from now then the St. Mary’s University.

The university offers more than 90 undergraduate courses which are divided into concentrations, majors, and minors. The doctoral programs and graduate can get to 20 or more.

Humanities and Social Sciences
This is the largest school in this university as there are more than 20 discipline areas students can choose from. The study programs involve creativity specialists and technical orientations which gives students a higher opportunity when competing for jobs out there.
The study programs keep students engaged as they don’t just sit in classrooms and listen to long hour lectures.
Greehey School of Business
This is a school that gives the students an opportunity to interact with business leaders who have made an impact on the world of business. The school is accredited by AACSB International and gives the students an opportunity to showcase their skills in the real world of business.
The students are assured of an excellent business education that will equip them with enough skills to be competitive out there. The passing of exams is necessary but the skills acquired are more valuable as that’s what will make the student shine in the industry.
School of Law
The school was established in 1927 is it’s the only one in Texas under the Catholic leadership. The school mission is to produce law practitioners who have moral values and will bring justice and positive changes in the systems.
The students in this law school stand a high chance of excelling in the field as they are exposed to hands-on legal experiences. The opportunity to represent the community’s disadvantages citizens not only gives them real-life experience but an opportunity to participate in the acts of humanity.
School of Science, Engineering, and Technology
Study Computer Science, Engineering Systems Management or Electrical Engineering both at undergraduate or master’s level. The school promotes the production of service minded and ethical professionals through the practice of experimental learning.
