Jason Rogers fulfills his childhood dream of opening a custom car shop every day at his Tint World® franchise location in Lawrenceville, Georgia. After years in corporate management roles, Jason decided he wanted to pursue his passion for cars as his career.
“I’ve been a car enthusiast since I was a kid and always dreamed of opening my own custom car shop,” Jason said. “I was at a point in my life where I didn’t want to work just for the sake of working. I wanted my career to be my passion.”
Having seen the power of a proven brand firsthand, choosing to open a custom car shop with the backing of Tint World HQ was an easy decision.
“After speaking with the recruiting team at Tint World and meeting some of the other owners, it seemed like a great fit,” Jason said. “My wife, Lori, and I did our research and decided this was the right move for our family.”
Lori Rogers is also enthusiastic about their new path. She knows the investment in a Tint World franchise offers them a great opportunity to build a business that supports their community.
“Helping Jason live out his lifelong dream of owning a custom car shop with Tint World gives me a lot of satisfaction,” Lori said. “And I appreciate the opportunity to connect with the community in a more meaningful way as local business owner.”
Although he likes all of the services and products offered by Tint World and has been using some form of them on his cars for years, Jason finds the Ceramic Coatings most valuable. He dislikes driving a dirty car, and this product makes the car shine. That’s even more important for his current vehicle —a yellow and black Nissan Proto Z that serves as a rolling ambassador for his shop.
The Rogers have learned a lot about the dos and don’ts of owning their own custom shop. The importance of hiring for attitude and the right fit as much as for experience was a hard lesson. They emphasize that building the right team and creating a welcoming showroom atmosphere are keys to success.
“This location is Jason’s dream, and we consider our team to be family,” Lori said. “Making sure the vibe is right in your showroom is so important because we’ve had repeat customers based on the customer experience we provided. That speaks volumes for the quality of our team and the products and services we offer.”
As for any plans for future growth, Jason said, “I would like to open up another location eventually when I have this one running on all cylinders!”
