When Mayra Taveras moved to South Florida, she was ready for a fresh start. After seven years at her previous job, she felt the itch for new challenges and a chance to grow.
That’s when a recruiter came calling about joining Tint World. “I was definitely looking for new challenges, so joining the accounting department at Tint World was a no-brainer,” she said. “And it’s worked out perfectly!”
As Tint World’s accounting manager, Taveras oversees critical financial operations for the fast-growing National Automotive Styling Centers™ franchise. She and her team maintain and update financial reports and records and work closely with Tint World leadership to ensure the company is on track to reach all its goals.
She and the rest of the accounting team work tirelessly – in addition to the constant flow of accounting duties, they’re heavily involved right now in the implementation of new systems and technology that will streamline HQ operations, helping support the automotive aftermarket leader’s continuing franchise development and growth.
“This is such a special company,” she said. “You can see how everything we do is ultimately focused on supporting franchisees and empowering them to grow and succeed. We work hard at that every day, but we also have fun. The team here at Tint World HQ is like a family.”
One of the great things about Tint World is that the company connects people from every possible background. At any Tint World franchise location, that means long-time customers and first-time visitors, commuters and off-road enthusiasts, truck drivers and performance car lovers. Along with its diverse franchisees and their technicians and support staff, the fast-growing automotive aftermarket brand is focused on uniting and inspiring everyone who works there – and every member of the communities it serves.
The same wide range of personal and professional experience applies at Tint World HQ. Many members of the Tint World team share a lifelong love for cars with the company’s franchisees and customers. Taveras, on the other hand, has only recently developed a firsthand appreciation of cars and their fascinating culture.
“I never thought I would have to drive a car before I moved to Florida,” she said. “I’ve lived most of my life in New York and the Dominican Republic, so I never had to learn until I came here. Luckily, you don’t have to know everything about cars to thrive in accounting. But I’m catching on quickly!”
