Corporate Spotlight: Donna Brenner

The Tint World® corporate team works hard to support our franchisees every day. The work of some might not always be visible, but it’s vital to the success of our brand. Senior Accounting Manager Donna Brenner is one of those corporate team members dedicated to the success of the entire network.

Brenner has an extensive background in corporate finance. She brings more than 20 years of the experience to the table and was hired in 2016. So, what brought her to the team?

“I interviewed with CEO Charles Bonfiglio and CFO Jeanette Bonfiglio, and I really liked them,” she said. “The whole team felt like a family. Also, based upon what the Bonfiglios told me what they were looking for, I knew that I could bring a lot of experience to the table and help the company right out of the gate.”

As many members of the corporate team say, Brenner does not have a “typical” day at work. “No day looks the same at Tint World HQ,” she said. “It’s one of the things that I like most about working here. Accounting is thought to be a mundane career, but I love it. I don’t quit until the job is done right and no stone is left unturned. I care about precise and accurate work, so following procedures is my way of ensuring quality work. I have the ability to handle many activities and not be flustered by them.”

Her duties include analyzing and managing the return on investment for the whole brand, analyzing and reconciling expenses, managing finances and relationships with multiple third-party vendors. She does month-end reconciliations and is the liaison to auditors and tax accountant. In addition, she does credit card reconciliations, payroll and 401(K) administration.

“I care about the wellbeing and profitability of the overall business and the franchisees,” she said. “The more profitable the franchisees are, the more profitable HQ is. I have very high work standards and having people trust my work is very important to me. I do everything I can to get the job done right the first time. I always try to ask the right questions so I can get all of the detailed information prior to tackling a task.”

What is her favorite aspect of her job? “Here at Tint World HQ, things are ever changing and never boring. Charles is a true entrepreneur and has a lot of ideas. He loves streamlining processes and technology, and I love that as well. It makes things very exciting.”

As for her experiences with the team, Brenner said she enjoys the care that upper management exhibits to everyone. “I really enjoy our team-building events,” she said. “We’ve gone bowling and we’ve gone to high-end restaurants for lunch. We recently had a Cousins Maine Lobster truck come to the office, and much more.

“It just feels good that Charles and Jeanette take the time to do these special things for the staff, and I think it makes everyone feel valued and special. It also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other outside of the office as well.”

It might not always be visible, but Brenner’s efforts are dedicated to the welfare of the Tint World® location owner. “I love negotiating and saving money. It comes natural to me. I want to streamline more processes and help the business grow even more and to help create a winning culture and be a trusted resource to our team.”

And, because Brenner is a true Tint World® spirit, she does love cars. “My dream car is the Bentley Continental GT because it’s bad ass!”
