In terms of versatility, Maria Landaeta serves as quite an example.
From teaching dance, to instructing in education, and now working in graphic design – in her words, Landaeta has done “a little bit of everything.”
Currently, she is the creative designer for Tint World®. It’s a role she has held since July 2019. In this position, Landaeta oversees graphic design for the nearly 100 automotive styling centers either currently-open or in various stages of development.
To keep things running smoothly, Landaeta relies on organization and teamwork.
“Everything about creative design takes more time than most people think,” she said. “Organization is key, and attention to detail is vital. I really like to work with the CEO, Charles Bonfiglio, and our Director of Marketing, Jacob Eisenberg, because they pay attention to every detail, too. We each contribute our perspective and because of our collaboration process, it makes the output even stronger.”
From flamenco dancing to facilitating design
Before earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Florida Atlantic University, Landaeta earned her associate’s degree from Broward College.
One part of the latter degree was affiliated with graphics, but the other – a diploma in early childhood education – led to her employment at EcoKids Bilingual Preschool.
In her education and teaching experience, Landaeta learned the importance of flexibility and connecting with one’s target audience.
Now, that same adaptability has proven vital to her success with Tint World®.
“I’ve learned a lot about psychology and how the brain works,” Landaeta said. “Understanding all of that has helped boost my creativity and inform the details of the graphics I create for Tint World®’s brand. I have the freedom to contribute my ideas and the support from our team to help bring those ideas to life.”
Taking a ‘family’ approach to new heights
While her time at Tint World® has yielded many wonderful experiences, Landaeta says the company’s most recent international franchise convention helped her recognize how much she’s grown in her role at the auto styling franchise.
Not only did she feel more confident talking to owners, but she was able connect further with the Bonfiglio family.
“Charles told us many stories of their life and how they continue to find success for the franchise as a whole and its franchisees, too,” Landaeta said. “I think that is one of my favorite moments because I really felt like part of the family – not only in a working scenario, but on a personal level.”
Landaeta is thankful for the valuable experience she’s gained at Tint World® and for her ability to help business owners around the world. She’s also grateful for the confidence she has gained in working for a company that’s constantly reaching for more success across the globe.
“To see how the company has been growing every year, especially internationally, it keeps you confident that you can grow, too,” she said.
